Biosphere 2030

Mika and Adam (the two other parts of the Earth Sanctuary coregroup) have created a new blog about the biodiversity of the Earth Sanctuary. You can access it here.

…”The project of Biosphere 2030 is born in a world that is sadly ecologically decadent. Despite the “decadence” the idea that personal action and commitment to restore a more ecological society is rapidly spreading and more people are aware of what we need to do.

Scientists insist that the world in 2030 won’t be the same as “we know it” today. According scientists 2030 will be the year when we will start to see more seriously, the consequences of our acts on the ecology of the planet in a more dramatic way. Through our local biosphere (108 acres located in the Prades Mountains, Catalonia) we have a platform to prepare for this, to preserve and encourage the biodiversity, and explore visions of a more desirable future.

In the end we want to leave the planet in a better state than we came to it, leaving it for future generations to enjoy and continue the beautiful experience of being human on this planet.”
